The TH1100RPmk2 is Fostex’s open-back flagship planar headphone, combining the Premium RP Driver mk2 with hard-maple housings dyed by Awa indigo artisans. Hand assembly in Japan and the naturally varied indigo grain make every pair an individual expression of the same reference platform.

Fostex optimized internal air damping around the mk2 planar diaphragm to strengthen low-frequency balance without obscuring RP technology’s exceptional transient accuracy. The open housing releases that performance into a larger, more breathable sound field, while dual 3.5 mm connections support straightforward cable changes.
