The TH900mk2 is a Japanese-built closed-back flagship whose Bordeaux-lacquered Mizume cherry housings have become inseparable from the Fostex name. Its 50 mm BioDyna driver and 1.5-tesla magnetic circuit deliver wide dynamic range, deep low-frequency extension and vivid presence.

Traditional Urushi lacquer and silver-foil work give the housings their depth, while the low-mass BioDyna diaphragm combines bio-cellulose with complementary fibres for speed, stiffness and controlled internal loss. The mk2 detachable-cable system also makes long-term ownership and balanced upgrades more practical.
