Eris is the bass-first collaboration between HarmonicDyne and Zeos of Z Reviews. It was not tuned to disappear, behave, or turn every record into an exercise in critical listening. It was tuned to make music feel physical again.

Put on something with a real kick drum, a synth line that reaches below the floor, or a bass guitar that deserves more than polite acknowledgement. Eris delivers weight, slam, and scale—the kind of low end you feel through the pads, not just hear in the mix.

Big bass. Surprisingly big space.

A 50mm ceramic-metal long-stroke dynamic driver supplies the force. HarmonicDyne’s four-vent semi-closed cup gives that force room to breathe, preserving a wider, more open presentation than you would expect from a headphone built around this much bass.

The result is unapologetically fun with electronic music, hip-hop, modern pop, metal, games, and films. Drums land harder. Drops feel larger. Soundtracks acquire actual gravity.

Comfort for the long haul

At approximately 320g, Eris is light enough for extended sessions. Soft micro-suede and vegan-leather pads provide a plush seal without turning the headphone into a clamp. The deep-purple glass backs add just enough menace to an otherwise clean, understated design.

Two listening perspectives

Eris is fully symmetrical. Reverse the left and right cable connections and wear the headphone in the opposite orientation to move the angled drivers behind the ear. The presentation becomes more spacious and diffuse while retaining the same essential tonal character. One headphone; two distinct ways into the music.

Know what you are buying

This is not a neutral reference headphone, and it is not pretending to be one. Vocals sit farther back than they do on a mid-forward studio tuning, and microscopic detail takes second place to impact. If you want a sonic spreadsheet, choose something else. If you want your headphones to remind you why you love music, Eris is waiting.

Balanced from the box

Eris includes a 1.5m 4.4mm balanced cable made from single-crystal copper, terminating at the cups with standard dual 3.5mm connectors. An adapter or alternate cable is required for single-ended use. With 32Ω impedance and high sensitivity, Eris does not demand an enormous desktop amplifier to come alive.
